Aliso Viejo's Green City Initiative

The City of Aliso Viejo has launched its Green City Initiative with the help of local sustainability professionals, and the urging of the City Council. As part of this program, the City Planning Department is hosting a variety of Green City Workshops around town, and the public is invited to attend and contribute to the discussion. The first workshop was held at the Aliso Viejo Conference Center in November 2010 and future events are planned for early 2011.

2011 Sustainability Forum in Aliso Viejo

Aliso Viejo was the site of the 2010 Sustainability Forum, hosted by Eco-Stride. For the 2011 event, the City of Aliso Viejo will join in presenting this event to businesses, city officials, non-profit entities and members of the public who are interested in sustainability and green business practices. The event is scheduled for March 31, 2011 at the Aliso Viejo Conference Center. Go to www.eco-stride.com for more information, and an opportunity to register.

We are always looking for a worthy cause, and a project that will teach responsibility and safety to kids in the community. If you have an idea for a community service project in or around local parks, let us know, and let us know how we can help. ParkSafety.org wants to promote positive use of our parks, and a focus on community development. Just e-mail us at safety@parksafety.org.
